The Huguley's: Hello Fall! :)

Have you missed us??? My apologies! We have been a little preoccupied with a busy, busy summer and two little ones! I am not going to try to recap the entire past several months in one post. However, I will post several pictures to help summarize this summer.

Our most time consuming activity has been feeding Kate. Her reflux continued to get worse as she got older. The poor baby has been put through the ringer that has included a barium swallow x-ray, multiple formula changes, medicine changes, and doctors appointments! Feedings have taken from 1-2 hours for a 6 ounce bottles. We've wiped up more buckets of formula from our hardwood floors that I ever want to admit. She is still the sweetest baby through it all! Her nickname has always been "the bug" or "Katie bug" - but she really needs to be called "Smiley!!" She smiles even when she is throwing up formula through her nose or in severe pain from the reflux.

Frank has continued to be the best big brother ever! He started preschool in August. We were extremely nervous for this transition, but it is been the easiest and most fun!!! He loves it and we cannot wait to pick him up each day (he only goes 3 days a week) to hear his hilarious and sweet recap of the day!

Our most recent attempt at making feedings easier with Kate, we visited a speech therapist in Valdosta, GA to help us with some specialized oral motor exercises to de-sensitize her mouth. We are praying this works.
