Yesterday, we had Frank's 15 month check-up. To start out, I was running late. So, my sweet husband told me to go on and check in! He brought Frank about 10 minutes later after they were finished getting ready! So, they only had to wait about 30 minutes after they got there.
Once we were called back, the "standing" scale didn't go so well. Frank didn't understand why it was wobbly and thought we were leaving him since he was on the floor. So, we went into the room for the newborn scale. He only weighed 23 lbs. He had dropped to the 35-40% on weight, but remained in 90% for height. Karen just said that we needed to try to get more fat into his diet -- McDonald's - here we come! Kidding! We do seriously have to start giving him more cheese, butter, eggs, etc.
Next on the agenda was his heart. Frank hasn't ever had a problem with anything dealing with his heart. However, Karen detected a slight heart murmur. She didn't act like it was alarming. Yes, I know it's VERY common. So, we're not freaking out. We're just praying this away! We have an appointment on January 11th for his 18 month check up. If it's gotten any worse at that point, we will probably schedule an ECHO. We are just praying this will go away on it's own, as they suspect, and never allow it to become a problem.
Frank then got 2 shots - we were not expecting! He received the 1st half of his flu shot and one vaccine. He was a champ - especially when she pulled out a red sucker!
Thanks to my wonderful husband who helped during the entire thing (and even held him during the shots!)!
