Memorial Day Weekend

We had a great weekend in West Point celebrating Memorial Day! On Saturday, we were invited to Aunt T (Virginia) and Uncle William's lake house on Lake Martin for dinner and swimming. In preparing for the trip, we didn't know how Frank would do since he'd be missing his afternoon nap (yikes!). We were so blessed, Frank did GREAT! He slept for the entire 1 hour drive! He woke up in a great mood and played for HOURS in their lake house (entertaining all adults and children!). When the rain let up, we headed out for the water. Not sure how Frank would like it, we braved this new adventure! Swimsuit on, float blown up - after I was told that it needed to be :) - ready to go! And...he hated it! After I got in and swam around for a minute to show Frank it was fun, he started enjoying it a little more (and after he saw the waterfall!). All in all, we had a great time! Thank you to Uncle William and Aunt T for inviting us to enjoy this great day with you!!!

On another note - this Memorial Day weekend marks our 3rd anniversary of being in West Point. Here we are, about to move again (only a few streets over). The move to West Point was a very difficult one, as I miss my family so much! However, I do feel that this is where the Lord wants us and we are so blessed to be here. The city of West Point is great, but there is no comparison to the people! People here are so warm and loving. We are honored to be a part of this great community! I wonder what we'll be doing 3 Memorial Day's from now....????
